Spring into Spring

Hi All,

What a lovely day in London, I've been in the garden trying to tidy up after the long, long winter.......
It's so nice to feel the sun on your face.

Today's card theme is Spring,

I loved the sentiment 'The day the Lord created hope was probably the same day he created Spring', just perfect for today.

Vintage Mini Album

Hi All,

What a difference one week makes, last Monday I thought Spring had arrived. However today it was snowing with an ice cold wind. When will it get warm???..........

I've finished my mini album which I started about six months ago, but  for some reason I never got round to finishing. Then about 2 weeks ago, I found some pictures of my mum, dad, son, niece and nephew when they were very young!!  and that inspired me to finish the album.

I cut the pages using a spellbinders die, covered with various papers then used distress inks. I finished the front cover with handmade flowers, a stamped clock face and distressed the lace ribbon to surround the clock.  Then added ' Our Family' stamped sentiment. The card used throughout the mini album, to make the flowers and frames was Crafters Companion Centura Pearl. Love Centura Pearl cardstock!! The album is secured by silky ribbon.

Handmade flowers with pearl embellishments.

Music....

Hi All,

Today in London, it looks as though spring has finally arrived. The sun is out although still a little chilly!!

Today's card is music based, I bought this stamp ages ago and made this card. My father loves jazz and my son has a true passion for music.

I stamped and embossed the image. Then coloured in with promarkers, I mounted on white, black and silver card. Finished with a 'Happy Birthday' sentiment.

February - The Month of Love

Hi All,

Miserable, grey and cold in London today.

Here's my latest card, I made this for my partner with Valentine's day drawing near.

The image is from http://fineartsbyrobertjackson.com/new-digital-arrivals.html, I love his drawings.
I coloured the image with promarkers, layered on floral papers. I made the flower, cut the heart frame and the card blank are from the Crafters Companion centura pearl card range. The card was finished with faux gems and a pearl.
