So Sweet

Hi All,

Autumn has truly arrived and it's been a cold, wet and grim day in London. Well at least there's lots more time for crafting.

Today I made some Christmas cards, hate even thinking about Christmas in October  but now I really have to get serious, lots to make!!!

I printed the image and background paper from Joanna Sheen's Precious Petal CD-Rom. I loved the diverse images on this CD-Rom, they are so cute and perfect for lots of projects. I used a 6x6 black base card, mat and layered the image and background paper on gold mirror card, then made the flowers from glitter and pearlescent card, finished with faux pearls and the sentiment 'Joy' from one of Joanna's stamp sets.

Rediscovered Mojo

Hi All,

I've been very quiet lately, seemed to have lost my 'mojo' and haven't entered any challenges. However it now seemed to have returned and I was inspired by the latest Joanna Sheen challenge, coffee and cream. Here my latest design:

I used Joanna Sheen 'Girly Lace' stamp set, another stamp set that I've bought and completely forget about. I stamped, embossed then decoupaged the corset with pearls.

Summer has arrived

Hi All,

It's been a little while since I've posted, I fractured my right hand so no crafting :(  However, now I'm on the mend and couldn't wait to start. It's gloriously sunny so maybe summer has begun!!!

I've made a mini - mini scrapbook using a spellbinders circle die ( cannot remember which one), embellished with die cut handmade flowers, finished with pearl and gem embellishments.

Vintage Mini Album

Hi All,

What a difference one week makes, last Monday I thought Spring had arrived. However today it was snowing with an ice cold wind. When will it get warm???..........

I've finished my mini album which I started about six months ago, but  for some reason I never got round to finishing. Then about 2 weeks ago, I found some pictures of my mum, dad, son, niece and nephew when they were very young!!  and that inspired me to finish the album.

I cut the pages using a spellbinders die, covered with various papers then used distress inks. I finished the front cover with handmade flowers, a stamped clock face and distressed the lace ribbon to surround the clock.  Then added ' Our Family' stamped sentiment. The card used throughout the mini album, to make the flowers and frames was Crafters Companion Centura Pearl. Love Centura Pearl cardstock!! The album is secured by silky ribbon.

Handmade flowers with pearl embellishments.

I stamped and embossed the image. Then coloured in with promarkers, I mounted on white, black and silver card. Finished with a 'Happy Birthday' sentiment.

'Dream' Girl

Hi All,

I've been a bit quiet lately, creative juices dried up. However, today I made this little card using an image I bought from www.mosdigitalpencil.com a long time ago but rarely use.

I coloured the image using promarkers, my colouring is not very good but I keep trying. I used background papers from various companies. The flowers were made using a Spellbinders die and the chain embellishment using beads, shell buttons and florist wire.
